Crystal Palace, West Ham United and Wolverhampton Wanderers are in talks to play a mini pre-season tour of America, joining seven other Premier League clubs to play matches this summer in the United States.

Chelsea, Manchester City, Arsenal, Liverpool, Manchester United, Bournemouth and Aston Villa have also confirmed US dates for summer matches.

Newly promoted Leicester had planned to also come to America over the summer, but dropped out and were replaced by Palace, according to The Athletic.

Newcastle also abandoned the plan drawn up by Elite Tournaments, but no replacement has taken that place. Newcastle are yet to announce their plans for the summer.

With the addition of Palace, West Ham and Wolves, half of this and next season’s Premier League teams will be US-bound.

Matches between West Ham, Wolves and Palace would take place at Navy-Marine Corps Memorial Stadium in Annapolis, Maryland, Everbank Stadium in Jacksonville, Florida, and a yet-to-be-confirmed stadium in Tampa Bay, Florida.

A likely candidate for the Tampa Bay game would be Raymond James Stadium, home of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Tottenham would be the current best team in the Premier League table, in fifth place, to have no plans to come to America in the coming months.

Spurs have, however, announced a pre-season trip to Japan.

All the teams appearing in America over the next few months have already secured their place in next year’s Premier League, with Palace bottom of the table in 14th position, but still far from relegation.
