New York – Three people died and eight others injured after a shooting in a New York club crowded early on Sunday morning.
Investigators think that shooters or shooters have opened fire with several weapons at the Taste of the City Lounge in the Brooklyn district of Crown Heights after “a dispute” just before 3:30 am, killing three men, said the commissioner of the New York police department, Jessica Tisch, to journalists.
“It is a terrible shooting that occurred in New York City,” said Tisch during a press briefing. She said the police investigated at least 36 envelopes of the living room, as well as a firearm discovered in a neighboring street.
The wounded during the shooting – eight men and three women – are treated in hospitals for non -fatal injuries, she said. The ages, the victims range from 27 to 61 years.
The shooting comes in the middle of a record year for armed violence in New York
“I mean, we have the lowest number of shooting incidents and the shooting victims seven months after the start of the year we saw in New York City,” she said. “Something like that is, of course, thank God an anomaly and it is a terrible thing that happened this morning, but we are going to investigate and go to the bottom of what happened.”
