The first -year students Elina Aarnisalo, Kendall Dudley and Avary Cain – who were part of the fourth row signature class in the country last year – entered the transfer portal. None made a public announcement on social networks with details concerning their decisions on Tuesday afternoon.
Aarnisalo has entered the Bruins program as a very praised international player in Helsinki, Finland. She started the leader in the first seven games of the season while Kiki Rice was returning from the injury and even praised the South Carolina coach Dawn Staley.
“I thought that Elina had done a very good job,” said Staley after the November 24 defeat against the UCLA. “Really a great job. It’s fun to watch her on a film. I hoped she would leave the bench and not receive as many minutes. She was really, really impressive.”
Aarnisalo scored 13 points against the Gamecocks and finished the season with an average of 5.1 points and 2.2 rebounds per game. The 5 -feet 10 -inch goalkeeper started in three other games over the season, but saw variable minutes.
Dudley, a 6 -foot 2 -inch wing, was recruit n ° 18 in the ESPN Hoopgurlz 2024 Recruiting ranking in the last year at the Sidwell Friends School in Washington, DC, it has always left the bench throughout the season at 12.4 minutes on average 37 games. It pulled 46.5% and collected an average of 1.9 points and 2.3 rebounds per game.
Cain, a 6 -feet 1 inch goalkeeper from Santa Maria, was a five -star recruit but only played a handful of minutes per game, with a summit of the 21 -minute season against Colgate on November 10. The last match in which she played was a home game against Ohio State on March 8.
Zania Socka-nolemen is the only player who remains in the first year class of Bruins. She was the recruit of 26th in her class, but missed several games this season due to a concussion protocol.
Two recruits highlight the UCLA first year class: Sienna Betts and Lena Bilić.
Bilić is a Croatian caretaker of 6 feet 3 inches who has an average of 18 points per match with the European club Zkk Tresnjevka 2009. Betts is the younger sister of Lisa Leslie Center of the year of 6 feet 7 inches.
