Three people died in Denver on Friday in a road rage shooting that led to an accident with the suspects fleeing the scene.
The incident happened around 6 p.m. near East 39th Avenue and Peoria Street, according to Denver police.
Two dark-colored mid-size sedans were heading south on Peoria Street alongside each other when shots were fired from a sedan, police said. The sedans continued south, at high speed, over a bridge over the train tracks. One of the sedans crashed into a pickup truck and the driver of the other sedan, from which shots were fired, fled southbound over the bridge.
Two men in the crashed sedan were pronounced dead at the scene, police said. The driver of the van was taken to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead.
