Thousands of people gathered in dozens of cities in Bulgaria to protest against the adoption of the euro while the authorities are preparing to move on to the single currency of the European Union at the beginning of next year.
Several thousands joined the Sofia capital on Saturday in one of the many rallies supported by the Far -right Renaissance party. The demonstrators briefly blocked the key crossroads while the police had closed parts of the city center in order to provide peaceful demonstrations.
