Thousands demonstrate against Donald Trump during popular march in Washington

Hope Giselle-Godsey, executive director of the National March for Trans Visibility, attended the grassroots march because she believes “all rights are human rights.” She speaks of intersectionality and solidarity “for causes that are like mine, for causes that are very far from mine”, explaining that “it reminds us all that we are human beings first, and that if we are not defending the human race, all other races are lost.
