Thomas suggests hoping for a third time

At the Forrester mansion, Eric declares that they are going to have another wedding at the Forrester family home. Everyone shouts “Cheers” while Hope is distressed.

Carter takes Thomas and Paris aside and tells them congratulations. He’s especially happy for Paris. That’s all he wanted for her after all. They thank him and Thomas hugs Paris. But he looks at Hope, who is being pampered by Brooke in a corner of the living room.

Brooke and Hope go out and Eric asks Paris if they asked Carter to officiate the ceremony. Thomas joins in the conversation about wedding planning but glances worriedly at the doors Hope came through.

Inside, Carter tells Paris and Thomas that it would be an honor for him to marry them. Thomas is grateful but they’re just getting started. Paris agrees; she didn’t even know they were getting married there until her fiancé mentioned it earlier. All she wants is to feel safe and extremely close to her future husband. Thomas has already given her that, so it doesn’t matter where they get married, but if it’s at one of the most beautiful properties in Los Angeles, she can’t say no to that…or to Thomas. They kiss.

Across the room, Eric and Donna question Ridge about Thomas’ feelings for Paris and Hope. Ridge says that Thomas and Hope will always have a relationship because of Douglas. He admits that it’s a shock that they want to get married right away. Eric thinks it will be a blow to Hope. Donna thinks that Thomas and Hope are still in love.

Outside, Brooke knows that Hope has developed real feelings for Thomas despite his objections. Hope loves him and knows that he still feels the same way. Brooke asks, “Is that a yes? Do you regret saying no to Thomas’ proposal?” Hope replies that she wasn’t ready. Brooke has to wonder… if Thomas handed her a ring right now and proposed, what would she do? “Would you say yes?” Hope doesn’t think it matters, because the woman Thomas wants to marry in this house isn’t her, “It’s Paris.” They kiss.

Hope thanks her mother for being there for her. She hopes she didn’t make too much of a scene. Brooke giggles, “Oh, honey.” Hope complains that she doesn’t understand; Thomas hasn’t even gotten over their relationship and now they’re in the middle of wedding planning. “I have to say something.” Brooke wants her to calm down a little first. Hope walks away, saying that Thomas needs to hear what she has to say.

Inside, Ridge interrupts Thomas and Paris’s make-out session and asks them to go down to the pool. He says he couldn’t be happier for them both, and leaves. Thomas jokes that his dad needs to drink more water. Paris gushes about their relationship. “We’re going to be an ‘us’ for the rest of our lives.” She can’t wait to be his wife. They kiss. Paris heads to the pool, and Thomas says he’ll be there in a minute. Once alone, he looks stressed.

Ridge finds Brooke outside and asks her how things went with Hope. Brooke says it’s not great. She’s hurting. She doesn’t blame Thomas for wanting to move on and be happy, but it’s painful for her. Ridge says it shouldn’t have happened this way. “She pushed him away.” Brooke nods. Ridge thinks Hope needs to live with the choice she made. Brooke feels that in time, she’ll move on. She worries about Thomas moving on so quickly and says she asked if Hope had any regrets. She said it didn’t matter. Ridge wonders what she would say if he asked her now. Paris shows up, looking for Thomas.

Inside, Thomas remembers Hope turning down his marriage proposal. Hope appears and says she was hoping to catch him alone. Thomas tells her that Paris is by the pool. He could see she was hurt earlier. He hates seeing her upset. Hope replies, “Then don’t do it. Please, Thomas… don’t marry Paris.”

She begs him to remember what they shared. Thomas tells her she had her chance and she hurt him time and time again. Hope maintains that she turned down a marriage because she wasn’t ready at the time, but she wasn’t turning down the idea of ​​being with him.
