Thomas and Spieth chat with Tiger and Rory after their ‘The Match’ win

Justin Thomas and Jordan Spieth picked up a victory over Tiger Woods and Rory McIlroy on the final episode of The Match on Saturday night outside of Tampa, Florida.

Thomas and Spieth scored a 3-and-2 win over 10 holes under the lights of the Pelican Golf Club in Belleair. Thomas and Spieth combined seven birdies to just one for Woods and McIlroy.

“Hey Tiger and Rory… WHAT HAPPENED?” Thomas and Spieth spoofed Twitter afterwards. “How do you lose to both of us?” It’s okay, everyone is doing it.

The event raised millions of dollars for relief efforts in the aftermath of Hurricane Ian.

“[W]We were able to do something in the spotlight that had never happened before in our sport, to be able to develop it in a different way,” Woods said on the TNT show afterwards.

It was Tiger’s third appearance in The Match, while the other three debuted in the made-for-TV event.
