National Republican Congressional Committee (NRCC) Chairman Rep. Tom Emmer (MN) said Breitbart News Saturday last weekend that this election was always going to be about economic and physical security, despite what the establishment media claimed.
“It was the media trying to paint a picture that all of a sudden the Democrats got some momentum, and they were saying outrageous things, it’s ‘Nancy Pelosi has a way back to the majority,'” he said. Emmer said, alluding to establishment media claiming Democrats can retain their majority in the House while noting that they’re led by a president who’s gone from “the absolute worst president” to “a hugely hated guy.”
“This election… was always going to be about security, economic security and physical security. Voters started paying full attention to the election, the ongoing election, after Labor Day,” the NRCC chairman continued. Since later, as Emmer explained, “we have continued to see the reservoir of the economy, unfortunately, and crime increase.”
The Minnesota Republican explained that when it comes to major issues, such as the economy, crime and the border, you have to look at what the Democrats are talking about.
“What are they talking about,” Emmer asked before explaining, “Are they talking about the economy? No. Are they trying to talk about crime? Sure. They try to flip their stuff all the time. But then , you have crazy members like Cory Bush, who come out and re-emphasize that they only want defunding the police, they’re all about supporting criminals, so what are they talking about, they’re not talking about their responses for what’s broken… They talk about January 6. They talk about abortion. They talk about everything but the issues that matter most to American voters that are going to determine this election, the crime epidemic and the democratic mismanagement in the whole country and the states of the whole country give us a great chance to have successes.”
“From rising crime rates to skyrocketing prices. Voters know the Democrats failed one-party rule, which made them worse, and that’s why when they walk into the voting booth, whether they do it early or they do it in two weeks starting Tuesday, November 8, they’re going to vote Republican, and you’re going to see a new majority in the US House and a new majority in the US Senate,” Emmer explained.
