Things that were bad in the 4-0 capital defeat against the Hurricanes in match 3

Washington’s capitals lost against the Hurricanes of Carolina 4-0 in match 3. They are now lying around in the second round series two games to one and will have to beat the Hurricanes in match 4 to avoid a difficult task: winning three consecutive elimination games to move forward.

Since you turn to RMNB for stupid news, information and stuff – a lot of stupid stuff – I’m going to put my big hockey analyst hat on (it’s actually a fedora) and I will highlight all the things that were bad.

Caps were excluded 4-0.

You have to score at least one goal to win a match, my favorite team. I mean, Duh.

John Carlson

Carlson was on the ice for the Hurricanes four goals in match 3, ending with an abyssal game score – the worst of the team.

Carlson’s biggest blunder came to the third goal of the Hurricanes of the night, which ended any real attempted return possible. Eric Robinson rolled around Carlson in the left wing before beating Logan Thompson to put the Hurricanes 3-0 with 16:46 to play.

He was also beaten on what seemed to be a game game on playing. After Sebastian Aho pushed the washer forward, Andrei Svechnikov ran in front of Carlson. Rasmus Sandin, the game safety valve, has made the wrong direction, giving Svechnikov all the time and the space necessary to mark closely.

Carlson was on the ice for 14 chances to mark the Caroline at 5V5, tied with his D-Partenaire, Jakob Chychrun, for the worst of the team. Carlson’s differences on the ice and five were not great: -13 shooting attempts, -10 chances of score, -1 chance at danger.

Burn the band!

Logan Thompson

Thompson has undoubtedly been the MVP of the capital so far in the 2025 playoffs, but on Saturday, he was not alike. He only stopped 24 of the 28 shots and granted 1,42 more objectives than planned by Moneypuck.

The goal of Jack Roslovic at the end of the second period is probably a shot that he will replay in his mind until the match 4. The center of the canes beaten him with a depth shot in the left circle, catching him leaning away from the post.

On the other side of the ice, Frederik Andersen stopped the 21 shots he faced and saved 2.6 more than expected goals.

The laundering was the first laundering of Andersen’s qualifiers as a member of the Caroline Hurricanes. He now has 5-2 in 2025 in playoffs with an average of 1.32 against the average and a percentage of. 940 stops.

Nic Dowd almost scored on his own net 200 feet distance

Washington’s capitals had several big chance of scoring in the first period, but could not convert. Things started to feel bad when Nic Dowd almost pulled A hagelin.

With Logan Thompson fired for an additional attacker during a delayed penalty call, Dowd tried a centering pass to Alex Ovechkin in the high slit. The decision -making was healthy. However, the execution was not. Dowd’s pass was out of Target – a mile – and almost entered the 200 -foot capital’s yawn nets.

If it had entered, I may have taken a baseball bat at my TV. And then probably jumped on the broken bursts that fell on the ground.

This period of drought in the second period

After a goalless first period, which saw the capital overcome and exceed the Hurricanes of five against five, the capital offensive disappeared in the second period. As Dan Rosen from NHL.com pointed outThe Hurricanes scored twice, succeeded nine shots on goal and 28 attempts to shoot for a period of 11:45 am in the second period from 7:12 am to 6:57 pm. The capital had two shooting attempts and a shot to the goal.

How did it get 2-0 here in Raleigh? Well, in 11:45 a.m. in the second period, from 7:12 a.m. to 6:57 p.m., the Hurricanes scored twice on nine shots and succeeded in 28 shooting attempts. In this same period, the capital had two attempts, one to the goal.

Another period of drought in the third period

Capitals lasted more than 8 minutes without a 11:40 am shot to do in the third at 3:04 am to do in the match. They, as the proverb says in the opposite direction, entered this dark night quietly.

Aliaksei Protas and Connor McMichael combined for a total of 0 attempts to shoot all forces

The two young Star attackers have changed this season for capital and regularly provided a secondary score. Tonight, they haven’t generated anything literally. Protas received 18:49 of ice time, and McMichael saw the ice 17:58 – second and third among all the attackers of the capitals. It will not do it.

The 4th line of capital

When I think reliable, I think the fourth line of capital. They start in the defensive zone, they have a sort of positive numbers of five against five, and they generally closed some of the best players on the opposing team.

Not tonight. The fourth line of the caps was on the ice for the two goals of the Hurricanes against, -10 in five shots, and -6 in five on five chances of scoring. Brandon Duhaime, who also killed penalties, was also on the ice for the two goals of the Hurricanes platform, he therefore joined Carlson as the only caps on the ice for each light that hurricanes have lit. Anthony Beauvillier was the only capital award to have less than 10 minutes of five against five years (9:58). With him on the ice, the capitals were exceeded from 16 to 7 to five against five.

The caps are now 0-4 against the Hurricanes on the road in the playoffs, which is bad

Washington’s capitals never beat the Hurricanes from Caroline to the Lenovo Center in the playoffs, losing the four games. They were exceeded 16-3 all time in the building during the playoffs. If they do not find an answer in match 4 on Monday, they will return home to Capital Onena against a hole of 3-1.

In short, capitals must find answers: immediately. Or this magical season be on the rocks … without ice. (Make the Falsett voice) Uhhhh ahhhhhh.
