Thiago Silva WILL LEAVE Chelsea at the end of the season after four years at Stamford Bridge… as the Blues agree to let him leave early after their final game and join Brazilian side Fluminense.

Thiago Silva will leave Chelsea at the end of the season after agreeing a two-year deal to join Brazilian side Fluminense.

The Brazilian spent four years at Stamford Bridge, winning the Champions League with the Blues in 2021.

In a statement published on the club’s official website, it was revealed that Silva will be allowed to leave Chelsea early after their final match of the season against Bournemouth and join his new teammates.

He will be allowed to train with Fluminense before his registration is made official on July 1.

During his time at Chelsea, he made over 150 appearances and also won the FIFA Club World Cup and the UEFA Super Cup.

The veteran defender – who turns 40 in September – was widely expected to leave the club at the end of the season.

There was a strong hint of his impending departure following their FA Cup defeat to Manchester City last month, when he was seen in tears after the final whistle.

His wife, Belle, also confirmed the news when she shared a photo of herself at Wembley on the day of the semi-final, saying it was their “last dance” at Wembley.

She had recently posted a video expressing her frustration at reports surrounding her husband’s future, after he was linked with a move to Fluminense, as well as three unnamed London clubs.

In the video, she said: “Help me help you!” You know nothing !

“This anxiety gets in the way of things that could work!” You’re in the way! Stop publishing false information! »

Silva confirmed his wife and children will remain in London while the children play for Chelsea’s youth teams, as he targets a return to the Blues one day.

Despite approaching 40, Silva has still played a regular role in the starting line-up at Stamford Bridge and has made 35 appearances this season.

He announced after the defeat against Manchester City that he had made a decision on his future.

“I don’t want to say anything now, my head buried in defeat, a little sadness,” he said. Hayters Television.

“But sooner or later it will happen. The news will come out.

He was then asked if he had made any final decisions regarding his future, replying: “I have already made a decision in my head.

“I don’t think it’s cool that a lot of people are talking about it. I’m sorry. Soon you will know.
