Guardiola: “Man United Fans should be ashamed”
The Spaniard said fans should be “ashamed” of their act. “Lack of class. But it’s not united, are they people, you know?” Said Guardiola.
“We are so exposed to the screen in world football – managers, owners and football players in particular. Honestly, I do not understand the minds of people involving Phil, it is a lack of integrity, class and they should be ashamed …”
Some Manchester United fans were heard to sing “Your mom is a big S ** g” at Foden during the local derby.
In addition to being targeted by fans, Phoen, 24, had a game to forget when he created only one chance in the match and his two shots were far from Target. He was replaced by Jeremie Doku in the 58th minute.
Phoden had a brilliant 2023-24 season, but he failed to reproduce this form this time, with only seven goals and two assists in 25 Premier League games.
Happy Guardiola with Draw vs United
Although the two teams were not marked and displayed a display which was seriously criticized by the experts for lack of quality, Guardiola had no complaints against Foden or his other players.
“We put players with a sense of objective, with Omar (Marmoush) and Phil (Foden), and after good deliveries with (Ilkay) Gundo and Kevin (de Bruyne) near them, with the two attackers, a lot of processes, the passes with Bernardo (Silva), with (Mateo) Kova, with (Ilkay) Gundo.
“Always we have lived these many years with the ball, to do a good process from behind, to make a good high pressing, we were really good with our intensity, the long balls, our central defenders in Josko (Gvardiol) and Ruben (dias) were brilliant, Nico (O’Reilly) until the last minutes.
Man City was without Star striker Erling Haaland, who was injured.
