“ They are in Wall Street, they are in the White House ”: Thousands of people protest by Israel in New York

New York-Several thousand demonstrators joined Israel in New York on Saturday, during the largest pro-Palestinian and anti-Israeli demonstration held in the city in recent months.

The demonstration, nicknamed “Stop Starving Gaza: Mass March for Humanity”, took place in front of the New York public library in Manhattan, next to Bryant Park, and was organized by a range of socialist militant groups led by Arabic and far left.

The crowd beat spoons against pans and held out of the sign to “stop affouir Gaza”, stop killing journalists “and” defeat the creators of imperialist / Zionist genocidal war “.

The Palestinian flags agitated above the crowd of people while they were walking, chanting “put an end to the seat on Gaza now!”

Brian Becker, of the Far-Lefts Answer Coalition, told the crowd that “the American government has remained with the fascist regime of Tel Aviv, but we, the American people, are with you, the Palestinian people.”

“They are in Wall Street, they are in the White House, they are at the center of imperialism,” said Becker.

Some in the crowd responded with cries of “shame” and “murderers”.

The rally seemed to be the most important since the arrest of the Pro-Palestinian anti-Israeli activist Mahmoud Khalil in March, it mobilized several thousand demonstrators.

Khalil, who was released from a federal detention center in June, participated in the protest on Saturday and addressed the crowd outside the public library.

Israel destroys Gaza “systematically, deliberately,” he told support for support. “And they do it with American bombs, with American coverage, with American tax money – your money.”

Khalil, who justified on October 7 and minimized the anti -Semitism of the campus, then led the crowd while leaving in a walk at Midtown Manhattan.

In the days preceding the demonstration on Saturday, the organizers said that it was supported by more than 200 groups of the United States, and that they bus in the participants of six states and Washington DC.

The main groups signed on the demonstration included distant on the left outfits such as the People’s Forum, Answer Coalition, the Democrat Socialisters of America and Codepink, groups led by Arabic, in particular the Palestinian Youth Movement, the Council for American-Islamic Relations and the American Arab Arab Association, as well as the Anti-Zionist Jewish Voice for Peace for Peace students.

There had been a decrease in the main demonstrations on the Anti-Israeli street in New York in recent months, but the activists have started a series of regular gatherings before the United Nations General Assembly which will take place in the city in September.
