The manufacturer of Oreo cookies and other popular snacks pursues Aldi, accusing the supermarket chain of creating “Copycat” packaging which obviously “infractures in its own brands for various brands. By NBC NewsThe 72 -page complaint filed in May by the International Conglomerate of Mondelez alleys that the Aldi packaging is “likely to deceive and confuse consumers and to dilute the distinctive quality of the unique product packaging of Mondelez, and if it is not stopped, threaten to irreparably harm Mondelez and its value marks.” Mondelez also says that it is not only his eraos who are scammed: the company says that Aldi also has packaging for cookies and crackers that look too much like that of the Mondelez brands such as Wheat Thins, Ritz, Chips Ahoy, Nutter Butter and Nilla Wafers.
THE APWho notes that the Aldi founded in German “maintains the low prices by selling products under its own labels”, has photos of certain products in question, whose packaging has colors, fonts and similar names as products manufactured by Mondelez, according to this last company.
