“The Young and the Restless” actor Billy Miller dies at 43

Sad news for fans of the soap opera “The Young and the Restless”. Born September 17, 1979, in Tulsa, United States, actor Billy Miller died this Friday, a few days shy of his 44th birthday. His manager confirmed the information to Variety in a press release this Sunday. “The actor was suffering from manic depression when he died,” he said without giving the exact cause of death.

After starting his career in modeling, Billy Miller launched into acting. Well known to viewers, he appears, between 2006 and 2022, in several series: “Les Experts”, “La Force du Destin”, “Justified”, “Hôpital Central”

But it was with his role as Billy “William” Abbott, in “The Young and the Restless”, that he really became known to the general public, between 2008 and 2014. He played in no less than 700 episodes and won two Daytime Emmy Awards for Best Supporting Actor and one as Lead Actor.

In 2014, he left “The Young and the Restless” to take up the role of Jason Morgan in the series “Central Hospital”. He made a appearance in the cinema, in 2014, in the Clint Eastwood film “American Sniper” where he played an army recruiter. Recently, viewers were able to see him in an episode of “NCIS”.
