“Alien: Earth” brings the xenomorphs somewhere that they have never been before: television.
The FX television series developed by Noah Hawley, which created favorite fans’ programs, notably “Legion” and “Fargo”, will expand the “Alien” chronology before the original film by Ridley Scott in 1979.
It’s a good time to be a fan of the franchise, since 2024 also saw the release of “Alien: Romulus”, who surprised the public with his ultra-gistive sequences and his jump fears.
As the title suggests, the 2025 television series brings the xenomorphs to Earth.
The films often mention that if deadly creatures arrive on earth, it will be the game for the human race. This will undoubtedly raise questions for science fiction fans on the continuity of longtime cinema franchise.
Here is everything we know about “Alien: Earth” so far.

On May 13, Disney confirmed that the program would begin to broadcast on Hulu on August 12, with episodes arriving on Disney + on August 13.
The program consists of eight episodes and its final will be broadcast on September 23. It is not clear if FX and Disney plan to continue the program beyond season one or if it will be a limited series.
The “Alien: Earth” cast includes Timothy Olyphant, Sydney Chandler and Alex Lawther.

Disney and FX also published a handful of images showing the characters who will find themselves face to face with the xenomorphs, as well as a new synopsis which explains what to expect from “Alien: Earth”.
It reads as follows: “In 2120, the land was governed by five companies: Prodigy, Weyland-Yutani, Lynch, Dynamics and Threshold. Technological advancement: hybrids (humanoid robots infused with human conscience).
“The first hybrid prototype called” Wendy “marks a new dawn in the race for immortality. After the Weyland-Yutani spaceship comes up against Prodigy City,” Wendy “and the other hybrids meet a more terrifying mysterious life than anyone could have imagined.”
Sydney Chandler will play Wendy, Human robot Hybrid in the center of the series. Timothy Olyphant, better known for her roles in “Scream” and “The Mandalorian, will join her to play Kirsh, another robot, who takes care of her.
They are joined by actor “Andor” Alex Lawther, who plays a soldier named CJ, Samuel Blenkin as CEO named boy Kavalier and Essie Davis as Lady Silvia. Diêm Camille and Moe Bar-El are also in the cast as soldiers named Siberia and Rashidi, respectively.

The “alien” chronology begins to become quite disorderly with the various suites and prequel. But Hawley keeps things fresh by going back the stopwatch so that “Alien: Earth” takes place two years before the first film.
The first teaser of the series confirmed the year it takes place with the worrying slogan: “In 2120, Mother Earth is waiting.”
“Alien” from 1979 takes place in 2122, and giving the show a small breathing room for the films, it is to hope to stand on its two feet.
Hawley said on the deadline last September: “There is something to see a xenomorph in the wilderness of the earth with your own eyes. It is really frightening to think that it moves here among us, and so I cannot say to you under what circumstances you will see this, but you will see it – and you will lock your door that evening.”
