A fatal accident in bad sense briefly closed the 405 motorway in Los Angeles on Tuesday morning, the authorities announced.
An SUV would have driven from 60 to 70 MPH north in the carpooling lanes in the south of the highway near Getty Center Drive just after 4 am on Tuesday, according to California Highway Patrol newspapers.
Three minutes after the initial call, the vehicle was reportedly involved in an accident of three to five vehicles near Skirball Center Drive, according to the newspapers. At least one person was killed in the accident, according to KTLA-TV.
The 405 north in Sherman Oaks was completely closed until 6 a.m. when two lanes reopened.
Additional details on the identity of the person who was killed and the number of other injured motorists were not immediately available.
