Norris, a former Minister of Labor who beat Jacob Rees-Mogg as a deputy for North East Somerset and Hanham in the general elections last year, was placed in police custody after the police made a descent in his constituency on Friday, the Guardian reported.
The police of Avon and Somerset said that a man in sixties had been arrested Friday for suspicion of sexual offenses against a girl, a rape, a kidnapping of children and a fault in the public service, the independent reported. He was released under conditional surety.
Norris, who was Minister of the Junior Environment from 2009 to 2010, has not published a public declaration since the incident.
