The winner of this year’s talent competition will be crowned

Warning: this article reveals the winner of Britain’s Got Talent.

The winner of Britain’s Got Talent was named during Sunday night’s televised grand final.

There were 10 finalists, including a choir, a magician, a Ghanaian dancing duo and a Japanese rope skipping group.

But Sydnie Christmas took first prize, ahead of Jack Rhodes in second and dancers Abigail & Afronitaaa in third.

The ITV show’s judges Simon Cowell, Bruno Tonioli, Alesha Dixon and Amanda Holden returned to this series one last time, alongside hosts Ant and Dec.

The winner of the 17th series of BGT receives a £250,000 cash prize and the chance to perform at the Royal Variety Performance.

Public votes were open during the live broadcast, with viewers at home encouraged to have their say.

Singer Christmas broke down in tears after being announced as the winner of Britain’s Got Talent.

She said: “I don’t know what to say, I can’t believe the amount of love I felt.

“I’m overwhelmed with love and it’s the most incredible thing and I wish every single person in this room felt what I feel with this love, it’s incredible, thank you so much.”

The series has, as always, been filled with spectacular talent and incredible acts.

A magician who used to film parody audition videos for Britain’s Got Talent is one of the show’s finalists.

Jack Rhodes, from Ulverston, Cumbria, won a place in the ITV show’s grand final by impressing the audience and judges with his death crate.

It has been described as “now the favorite to win the entire competition” by Cowell.

But he faced stiff competition, including from winner Christmas and a singing group from Northamptonshire.

Northants Sings Out progressed past the semi-final stage after a split decision from the judges gave the public the final say. This took them one step closer to becoming the first choir to win the BGT.

Comedian Alex Mitchell and magician Trixy were the last two artists to advance to the final, after a tense semi-final on Friday.

Mitchell won the most votes from the public, after a stand-up routine during which he made fun of his autism and tics.

The judges then had to decide who they would qualify for the final between the second and third most popular acts, as voted by the public.

Trixy won the majority of judges’ votes after his performance which included mathematics, and thus he managed to beat musicians Stefan & Denise.

At the end of Friday’s show, Ant and Dec also revealed that the judges would choose a wild number to join the rest of the finalists in the live final. The act will be revealed on Sunday’s show.
