The absence of Victor Lindelof in the memorable victory of the quarter -final of the Manchester United Europa League in Lyon raised eyebrows at the start, but the worrying reason was revealed.

“An hour before the start of the game (Lyon), our baby-sitter called and said they were in an ambulance on the hospital path,” she wrote.
“My youngest son Francis had opened his whole head. He had continued his big brother Ted Louie at home and had come across our glass staircase.

“His forehead was in two parts. He was at the hospital Thursday and Friday.
“He had to undergo plastic surgery to go up his forehead. He was put under anesthesia.
“This is the first time that I have been feeling something that has happened with one of my children.
“It was incredibly unpleasant, not something I want to experience again.
“The operation went well and Francis is back on the right track. It is a Viking and back to normal.
“Everyone was so worried, but he continues his life as if nothing had happened.
“Doctors say he will have a big scar on his forehead. But too bad – I’m just happy that it goes so well.
Lindelofs have been married since May 2018 and are waiting for a third child together later this year.

Lindelof was back playing on Sunday, Captain Man United during their 1-0 defeat by the Wolves
Their future in Manchester beyond this season remains in doubt with the Lindelof contract which expires at the end of June.
The 30 -year -old has raised 277 appearances for the club since his participation in the summer of 2017 of Benfica winning a League Cup and a FA Cup at that time.
