The wife of Kanye West, Bianca Censori, carries a transparent dress with Grammys 2025

The minimalist fashion was pushed to the extreme to the Grammy Awards on Sunday evening.

Bianca Censori, the wife of the rapper and designer formerly known as Kanye West, appeared in such a refined look that many people wondered if his whole could be considered an indecent exhibition.

Although Mrs. Censori arrived at prices in a long shaggy coat, shortly after, he entered the red carpet alongside her husband, she removed her outdoor clothes to reveal the look below: a mini- Tight and completely transparent dress, apparently exposing her breasts and her genitals.

Since its public appearance with Mr. West a few years ago, Ms. Censori, who is Australian and has worked in architecture and interior design in Melbourne, has become known for her provocative appearance. In 2023, she was walking in Florence, Italy, tightening a purple pillow on her breasts while wearing tights. It also carried various body storage outfits – in colors like gray, champagne and cardinal red – but these were more opaque than the bottom which it bore to the grammys.

The revealing outfits have a long history of conversation during the price discounts. During the MTV Video Music Awards 1999, Lil ‘Kim appeared in a lilac combination which covered only one of her breasts – the other was accessorized with a matching nipple. The previous year, actress Rose McGowan presented herself at the same award ceremony with her boyfriend Marilyn Manson in a stringy dress that exhibited her buttocks. And more than a decade earlier, in 1988, Dear accepted an Oscar for the best actress in a transparent dress strongly embellished by Bob Mackie who shocked certain viewers at the time.

Sunday, Ms. Censori’s gaze launched a effusion of comments. Some on social networks joked by saying that his outfit was little maintenance. Others wondered if his gaze was out of step with the law.

When they were contacted by the New York Times, an official of relations with the media of the Los Angeles police service cited California Pinal Code, which defines an indecent exposure as “the deliberate exposure of its genitals in a public place or in the presence of another person ”.

According to the code, any exposure must be made with the intention “to offend or generate sexually”.

Sunday evening, on the red carpet, Ms. Censori did not put her coat before pose for photos with her husband by her side. Mr. West, on the other hand, was entirely dressed in a black t-shirt with matching pants and sunglasses.
