‘The White Lotus’: 7 questions for the final of season 3

Season 3 of “The White Lotus” was the longest in the series, the creator Mike White spending eight episodes instead of six or seven to tell the stories of superiching tourists and their personal problems. The additional time has allowed White to slow down the pace a little, to correspond to the most meditative vibrations of the high -end seaside resort that this season takes place.

But was there violence? Oh yes. Perverse sex? The naughty. Unresolved mysteries? Of course. Everything fans expect from “The White Lotus” have been abundant this season. Episode 1 started with gunshots, and in the weeks following an armed robbery, a crime in white collar, multiple threats and violent arguments and – Yikes – Fraternal incest.

While this season goes to its oversized final on Sunday evening – about 90 minutes, it will be the longest episode of the show to date – here are some of the questions that we hope to get answers.

Will Gaitok get a promotion?

This may not seem to be the most urgent problem in the face of the “white lotus” characters this year, but I think that at the end of the season, it will be very important. Admittedly, one of the greatest complaints of this season – in particular compared to seasons 1 and 2 – is that White has not integrated the station staff into the action as well as usual. But from week to week, the gaignoter of the Gaitok front door (Thapthimthong Thapthimthong) approached the heart of the plot. In episode 7, he realized that a major robbery at the complex earlier this season was probably perpetrated by a colleague employee, Valentin (Arnas Fedaravicius) and his two Russian friends.

Gaitok has been in trouble with his bosses since the flight. He fought with the doubt of himself, wondering if he is too soft to follow his dream and become one of the well -paid bodyguards of the station’s married owners, Jim (Scott Glenn) and Sritala Hollinger (Patavadi Mejudhon). Buster the Russians could be exactly what the career of Gaitok needs – and could also gain the heart of his romantic interest, Mook (Lalisa Manobal), a colleague with his own ambitions.

Is landing a plum work with a significant salary of happiness? This is one of the big questions that “The White Lotus” poses every season, and that is also why the story of Gaitok counts.
