Steph Curry’s strain of the grade 1 swamps turned out to be useful for the Warriors.
Curry’s injury has shown that coach Steve Kerr and managing director Mike Dunleavy need to upgrade the role of players on the list.
Without curry, the Warriors lost four consecutive games and saw their promising NBA season 2024-25 in the hands of the Minnesota Timberwolves.
So what is Warriors’ intersane plan? The Shams of Espn Charania gave an overview of the state of mind of Golden State.
“The Golden State Warriors have up to four first round choices that they can exchange,” said Charania on “Sportscenter” on Thursday. “They have negotiable contracts, exchanges of choice too. Sources have told me in the last hours, the Warriors will be incredibly aggressive on the market to find help, to continue to reorganize around their three Great Stephen Curry, Draymond Green and Jimmy Butler.
“I am told that their priority is to find a wing defender or a center to add to this group. Much of this will come back to someone that Steve Kerr and The Big Feel likes will help this team and will adapt to their culture and their identity.”
In addition to the active ingredients that Charania mentioned, the Warriors have the 22 -year -old striker, Jonathan Kuminga, a limited free agent that they could potentially move in a sign and an exchange to acquire parts that adapt around Curry, Green and Butler.
Kuminga was in and out of Kerr’s rotation and had four unequal years with the Warriors, but the young striker raised an average of 24.3 points in the four games that Curry missed against the Timberwolves
Thus, while Kuminga may not correspond to the Warriors list, another team could enhance it and provide Golden State with the parts he wants.
“A key player to keep an eye on this list right now is striker Jonathan Kuminga,” said Charania. “I am told that he is going to have a strong market of signs and exchange. He is an exciting young wing player. The two sides should have conversations starting in the coming weeks before the free agency to see, there is a potential signal and exchange landing point which gives him a lucrative affair while potentially bringing the warriors of additional help for their alignment so that the two parties find themselves.”
The Warriors window to win a title with Curry, Green and Butler ends and the front office understands that the team was not good enough to win matches without its double NBA MVP.
Thus, the changes around the three superstars arrive this summer.
