President Donald Trump said on Monday that his administration could not give everyone that she wanted to expel a trial “because it would take 200 years without exaggeration.”
In the post on his social media platform Truth Social, Trump spoke of the elimination of criminals and those illegally in the United States.
The Supreme Court recently ruled that the government could continue to expel under the law, only if the detainees receive regular procedure in which they can dispute the withdrawal.
Experts have warned that the Trump administration is underway for confrontation with the American legal system, having already ignored the judicial orders. Such a scenario could trigger a constitutional crisis.
Deportations based on war law
Earlier on Monday, lawyers told us judges that the Trump administration was ready to make deportations of dozens of Venezuelan migrants held in Texas under a law of 1798 historically used only in wartime without judicial review and unlike previous ordinances of the Supreme Court.
