The British government is trying to conclude an economic agreement with the United States which would remove the 10% prices on exports.
Lammy added: “We have been absolutely clear that all the options are on the table while we guarantee the national interests of the British people, which will be very concerned at the moment in which this affects the results for them and their economic well-being.”
Trump said British Prime Minister Keir Starmer was satisfied that Great Britain avoided that 20% prices were slapped on EU products.
“We have a very good dialogue,” the American president said on Thursday. “I think he was very happy with how we treated them with prices.”
In a sign, the reprisal rates have not been excluded, the UK business secretary Jonathan Reynolds announced that the government has asked companies to point products where prices would the least harm British companies.
