Several famous parents will assure Jay-Z that this is exactly what will happen in a few years. But in the meantime, the plan remains to shower the kids with enough love and support that a few years of eye-rolling and door-slamming won’t affect the overall dynamic.
“Feeling loved is the most important thing a child needs, you know?” Jay-Z told the British magazine Times in 2021. “Not ‘here is this business that I am going to entrust to you, that I am creating for you.’”
Although he and Bey have so many investment projects under their belt that there seems to be something for everyone, the Carter kids won’t be under any pressure to follow in their parents’ footsteps, according to their dad.
His and Beyoncé’s main goal was to “make sure we give them a warm environment, to be very attentive to what they want to be,” he explained. “It’s easy for us as human beings to want our kids to do certain things, but we have no idea. We’re just guides.”
And whether it’s a private or commercial flight, the sky’s the limit.
