Now that Tiana’s Bayou Adventure’s opening day has arrived, how has it impacted the crowds at Magic Kingdom? Well, as you might expect, things are looking pretty busy!

Be prepared to wait!

We headed to Frontierland and saw a huge line at the Golden Oak Outpost. It seemed like everyone was trying to get their hands on Tiana’s world famous donuts.

Long line at Golden Oak Outpost

Even though we love donuts, we wanted to watch the crowds on the ride. And, although they were long, they weren’t as chaotic as expected. It looks like Disney is handling the virtual queue and Lightning Lane for the opening pretty well.

And if you’re looking to buy some Tiana’s Bayou Adventure merch, you’ll also have to contend with the crowds. Things got a little livelier once we headed over to the Emporium to check out the Tiana’s Bayou Adventure merch. The line headed to an overflow area with cast members manning things.

Inside the store

The drop-off of goods for the journey is very well organized and quiet, even though it is very busy inside the Emporium.

So you want to take part in the Tiana’s Bayou adventure? There are only two ways to access the attraction at this point: via the virtual queue or via Genie+. If you want to go the free route, i.e. the virtual queue route, you will have two chances to join the virtual queue at 7 a.m. and 1 p.m. Note that you can only organize one virtual queue per day. You’ll do this through the My Disney Experience app – we have a complete guide to the virtual queue process for Tiana’s Bayou Adventure here.

The other way to get a spot in Tiana’s Bayou Adventure is to use Genie+, which was priced at $29 per person for Magic Kingdom today. However, there were no more Lightning Lanes available via Genie+ for Tiana’s Bayou Adventure before 7 a.m. this morning as well.
