Ukraine has launched a program that attributes to soldiers who truly kill Russian troops or destroy their equipment. They can then use these rewards to buy drones and other weapons from an online “Amazon” style market.
Mykhailo Fedorov, who is the Minister of Digital Transformation of Ukraine, said this week that his government had launched the Brave1 market, a website that presents the military technology of the defense industry, including drones, robots and electronic warfare devices, which are available for purchase.
Ukrainian military units can use their funds to buy equipment directly on the website, which works “like Amazon”, wrote Fedorov on Telegram on Monday. However, instead of selling common items, the Brave1 market offers “innovations”.
Military units can also use reward points for purchases. The units receive points for having killed enemy soldiers or destroyed Russian military equipment, as long as they confirm the attack with drone images and download it to a network of awareness of the military situation.

Once the killing has been checked, the units receive “Epoistes”; The amount depends on the target. The elimination of a Russian soldier would have awarded six points, while the destruction of a reservoir earns 40. These points can be exchanged for military equipment via the Brave1 market.
“The market will considerably simplify the interaction between developers and soldiers,” said Fedorov, according to a translation of his remarks on Telegram. He said that military units can choose the right technology in a few clicks, compare different equipment, contact the manufacturer and directly conclude an agreement.
Fedorov said that military units often did not know certain equipment at their disposal, so the new site is intended to offer more transparency. He said that more than 1,000 different types of equipment, including various drones, land robots, firearms and electronic warfare, are already on the Brave1 market.
The catalog is large – the units can even buy cameras, batteries, engines and satellite communication devices. A large part of the equipment is easily available for visualization on the site, but some sensitive information is only accessible by certain users.
Alex Eine, commander of the section of a drone unit in the separate presidential brigade of Ukraine, told Business Insider that the point system works better for soldiers who work with a small first -person view (FPV) or bombardier drones on the front line. More frequent missions mean a greater chance to earn points.

The Eine unit, known in English as “Birds of Fury”, uses a drone called the return of fires to hit the Russian positions behind the front lines. The drone is available on the Brave1 market for about $ 60,000 for a three -way pack; Its value in the points is not clear.
A popular bomber drone called “Baba Yaga” costs around 43 points, according to Politico, which cited Fedorov’s comments during a recent technological conference in kyiv. The Ukrainian government will pay the drones ordered with points and deliver them to the units.
Fedorov said that a unit, Magyar birds, had already accumulated more than 16,000 points, enough to buy hundreds of drones. The unit’s first -line drone operations are well known. Brave1 Market’s website lists unit as the most public of combat points in March.
Other high income units include the 59th distinct assault brigade, part of the unmanned systems forces and the 3rd special regiment for special purposes, part of the forces of the special operation.
