The Trump-Putin summit in Alaska ends without agreement on the Ukrainian ceasefire

Hillary Clinton, the former secretary of state and the former Rivale of Mr. Trump on the campaign track, said in an appearance in the Podcast on Friday that if Mr. Trump could end the war in Ukraine without giving up territory in Russia, she would name him for the Nobel Peace Prize.

Clinton made the comments on the “moderate” podcast with Jessica Tarlov.

“Honestly, if he could end this terrible war, where Putin is the aggressor, invading a neighboring country, trying to change the borders-if he could end Ukraine in a position where he had to concede his territory to the aggressor, he had, in a way, we did not do it, but perhaps clint, but perhaps Clinp.

She added that this must mean a ceasefire and that Russia retires over time of the territory it has seized. “If we could do this, if President Trump was the architect, I would name him for a Nobel Peace Prize, because my goal here is not to allow Putin’s capitulation, helped and encouraged by the United States.”

Clinton added: “I dream that for any combination of reasons, including the elusive price of Nobel Peace, President Trump could actually resist Putin in the name not only of Ukraine and his democracy and his very courageous people, but frankly, in the name of our own security and interests.”

Trump, whose supporters sang “locking her up” about Clinton during the 2016 presidential election, told Bret from Fox News that it was “very nice” from Clinton to say, and “I may have to start him again”.
