On Friday, at least 1,000 people were killed in a huge earthquake that struck Myanmar and the wider region, and 2,376 other people were injured, the government led by the country in the country on Saturday.
The US Geological Survey estimated that the number of deaths could reach 10,000 people, after the 9.7 -coarse earthquake, struck near Mandalay, the second largest city in the country. The tremor also shook neighboring Thailand, with a hundred people still trapped in a building under construction which collapsed in Bangkok.
Myanmar is led by the chief of the Junta, Min Aung Hlaing, who is the subject of an arrest warrant against the International Criminal Tribunal.
