San Jose Camera & Video, a Campbell company with almost 100 years of history of service from the South Bay community, was penetrated and looted earlier this week.
Thieves would have struck a vehicle at the front of South Bay Camera & Video, located on Boulevard S. Winchester, then stole goods early in the morning on March 5.
“We have served San Jose and Bay South for almost 100 years and we would like to do it for 100 others,” according to an article on the company’s Facebook page. “The damage has been quite extensive and although insurance contributes to covering part of the cost of repairing things, it will not completely cover operational costs, lost wages, replacements and repairs, etc.”
The store would have suffered damages to the front entrance – including doors, doors and windows – as well as for lighting and cupboards. In addition, new and used camera equipment has been taken.
The company now turns to the community to get help to cross this difficult situation and launched a GoFundme https://www.gofundme.com/f/san-jose-rebuild-ofter-robbery.
“So we hold the hand to the community for your continuous support. May he choose us as your local cameras store to buy, share this, to make a donation, ”reads the post. “Many of you may know that we have been stolen in the past and it is difficult to stay afloat and compete with Amazon.”
