The launcher starting from the Red Sox, Walker Buehler, expected that the marble referee Mike Estabrook to call a strike on a 1-0 launch that he launched to the star of the Mets Juan Soto at the top of the third round on Tuesday evening.
Buehler’s field was well in the striking area, but Estabrook described it as a ball, which sparked Buehler. And the end result has been ejected from Buehler for the first time since 2021.
Buehler Aboya in Estabrook of the mound before Estabrook takes off his mask and begins to approach the veteran launcher. Estabrook seemed to tell Buehler to “go up on the mound”, but Buehler took a few steps forward while leaving his frustrations before getting started.
While Buehler gave his side of the story, Laz Diaz, the head of the game’s crew, gave a pool report interview after the Boston 2-0 victory at Fenway Park and explained the reason for the ejection of Buehler.
“He can say things from the mound. But once he got out of the mound, he leaves his position to argue the balls and the strikes,” said Diaz, by Chris Cotillo de Masslive. “Once someone leaves their position to argue bullets and strikes, it is an immediate ejection.”

The manager of the Red Sox, Alex Cora, came out of the canoe to defend Buehler against Estabrook. Cora and Estabrook had a stormy argument, and Cora was also ejected.
Getting started on an unexpected outing in Buehler, who left the injured list on Tuesday (shoulder bursitis) and launched in her first game since April 26. Buehler gave no race and no safe blow by walking two and withdrawing four in 2 1/3 rounds.
