The summit fell from the first orbital class rocket in Australia, delaying its launch

It was unusual

The problems of payload of payload have caused a number of rocket failures, generally because they do not collapse during the launch, or only partially, leaving too much additional weight on the launch vehicle so that it reaches the orbit.

Gilmour said he was postponing Eris’ launch campaign to fully understand what happened and make the necessary updates. ” The company was founded by two brothers—Adam and James Gilmour–In 2012, and collected around $ 90 million to venture capital companies and government funds to obtain the first ERIS rocket in the launch ramp.

The astronauts of the NASA Gemini 9a Mission took this photo of a target vehicle with which they were supposed to dock in orbit. But the shroud in the nose of the rocket only partially opened, inadvertently illustrating the method in which the fairings in charge are designed to drop their roquettes in flight.

The Eris rocket aimed to become the first Australian launcher to reach Orbit. Australia organized a handful of satellite launches by American and British Rockets over 50 years ago.

Gilmour has its headquarters in Gold Coast, Australia, around 600 miles south of the Eris launch ramp near the coastal city of Bowen. In a press release, Gilmour said he had a replacement payload fairing in his Gold Coast factory. The company will send it to the launch site and install it on the Eris rocket after a “complete survey” on the cause of the deployment of premature fairing.

“Although we are disappointed by the delay, our team is already working on a solution and we are soon expecting to be back at the PAD,” said Gilmour.

The officials did not say how long it could take to investigate the problem, correct it and adjust it a new nose cone on the Eris rocket.

This setback follows more than a year of delays that Gilmour mainly blamed the Hold-ups in receipt of the regulatory approval of the launch of the Australian government.

As many rocket companies have already done so, Gilmour has established modest expectations for Eris’ first test flight. Although the rocket has everything you need to fly to a low orbit, those responsible said that they only sought 10 to 20 seconds of stable flight during the first launch, enough to collect data on rocket performance and its unconventional hybrid propulsion system.
