In a recent episode of Podcast, the former Eagles Safety Darius Slay was asked about who could take over as a leader in defensive secondary.
Slay underlined Reed Blankenship as a natural successor in the world of Pass’s defense, saying: “Reed being with me and a lot of veterans before, I am sure that he could lead this group in the right way. This is what I think I would lead the group if I am not in the building … He is a very good leader.
This rubbed Gardner -Johnson in the wrong direction – especially since it was in the league longer than Blankenship.
A Gardner-Johnson checked made his feelings known on X, formerly Twitter, with a series of messages.
