Alijah Arenas, the boys’ basketball player from Los Angeles Daily News of the year, was seriously injured in a car accident on Thursday morning.
Chatsworth high school basketball coach Sam Harris confirmed that the arenas were in the accident.
The spokesperson for the Los Angeles police department, Rosario Cervantes, confirmed that LAPD had responded to a vehicle in a fire mouth and a tree at 4:55 am and that a 18-year-old was taken to the hospital.
The Los Angeles fire service also responded to the accident, which involved a Tesla Cybertruck in Bloc 7900 on Avenue Corbin in Reseda, and confirmed that the solo occupant of the vehicle was already out of the vehicle when the firefighters arrived and were in serious condition, according to Lafd spokesperson Margaret Stewart.

Alijah Arenas is committed to playing for the USC next season and is the son of the former NBA star, Gilbert Arenas, who played the first two seasons of his career with the Warriors in 2001-03.
Alijah Arenas led Chatsworth to consecutive regional titles from CIF State Socal (Division IV in 2023-24 and Division II in 2024-25). Chancellors made two consecutive appearances of the CIF state final and they reached the open division of the city section this year. He collected an average of 30.4 points, 7.4 rebounds, 4.0 assists and 2.1 interceptions per game this season and was the first player in the CIF La City section to reach the 3000 points mark, which did it in just three seasons.
It is considered to be recruit n ° 13 in the country for class 2025.
