Ryan Coogler’s “sinners” were invited to again in the 70mm IMAX screens.
The tickets are on sale now for the limited reissue of the film in nine select IMAX 70 mm theaters across North America, where it will play from May 21 to May 21. Warner Bros. quotes “an overwhelming popular and critical response” as an impregnation for reissue.
“Sinners” marks the biggest beginnings for an original film since 2019. On April 27, “Sinners” reported $ 122.5 million in North America and $ 161.6 million worldwide against a production budget of $ 90 million.
IMAX alone represented 20% of income on the opening weekend, but the film will leave these premium format screens this weekend while Marvel’s “Thunderbolts” take over.
“The public spoke and we listened. If a film should ever be experienced in this incredible larger than life format, it is” Sinners “, said Warner Bros. Pictures, president of global distribution, Jeff Goldstein, in a press release.” Ryan delivered a film that was adopted by fans who appreciate the know-how which consists in creating a film for this screen format and we wanted to give everyone the opportunity to see it – or to see it again – in 70 mm IMAX. “
“Sinners” will be back in Imax 70 mm at the City Walk Stadium 19 + IMAX (Los Angeles), Irvine Spectrum and Imax (Irvine), Lincoln Square 13 + Imax (New York), METREON 16 + IMAX (San Francisco), Indiana State Museum (Indianapolis), Arizona Mills, Imax) Webb Chapel Imax (Dallas) Colossus Imax (Toronto).
