The Capitol of Texas and Austin airport was among the areas that did damage after Wednesday storms.
Austin, Texas – The violent storms on Wednesday caused damage to various places in the Austin region.
Among the damage caused to a roof in a service station in North Austin, which collapsed on a certain number of vehicles below.
According to the Austin Fire Service (AFD), the collapse occurred in a Station of Bloc 7500 in N. Mopac Expressway in southern direction. A appellant told operators that “the roof of gas station pumps collapsed and is on a car”.
The number of injuries caused by the collapse is unknown, according to AFD.
Damage has also occurred in Texas Capitol, where the storm caused the glass break near the top of the Capitol rotunda.
Austin-Bergstrom International Airport has also suffered a little damage, airport managers reporting that the strong winds caused the door glass near the box. No one was injured and the airport crews worked to clean the glass and make sure nobody crossed it.
