Former world semi-finalist Andy Jenkins was slapped with a 11-year-old dart ban for fixing the match.

The 54 -year -old man was found guilty of having repaired 12 games between February 2022 and July 2023.

Jenkins, who reached the last four of the world championship PDC in 2007 and lost against the possible winner Raymond Van Barneveld, also admitted to having placed 88 Paris on the matches.

The ban on English was rear until November 2023, when it was initially suspended and prevented it from playing until November 2034.

Jenkins, who won 15 career titles, was also sentenced to a fine of £ 17,580 and until May 6 to appeal the decision taken by a disciplinary committee of the DARTS regulatory authority.

“This case sends a strong and unequivocal message to all athletes – if you correct the matches, you are likely to be taken and to face serious consequences,” said John Pierce, director of the application of the game committee.
