An epidemic of Salmonella linked to a large reminder of eggs made dozens of sick people in seven states in the West and Midwest, Federal Health officials announced on Saturday.
The August egg company recalled around 1.7 million brown varieties of organic and brown eggs without cage distributed to grocery stores between February and May due to the potential of Salmonella, according to an announcement published Friday on the Food and Drug Administration website.
At least 79 people in seven states have obtained egg -related salmonella tension and 21 people were hospitalized. American American disease control and prevention centers have said.

The recall covers Arizona, California, Illinois, Indiana, Nebraska, New Mexico, Nevada, Washington and Wyoming. A list of plants and plant codes or Juliennes dates can be found on FDA and CDC websites.
Symptoms of salmonella poisoning include diarrhea, fever, serious vomiting, dehydration and stomach cramps. Most people who fall sick meet in a week.
Infections can be serious in young children, the elderly and people with weakened immune systems, who may need hospitalization.
The CDC advises people to throw recalled eggs or return them to the store where they were purchased. Consumers must also wash and disinfect all surfaces that have come into contact with eggs.
