The Director General of Saints, Mickey Loomis, opened his press conference before the cog by making a brief declaration on the quarterrier Derek Carr.
A report earlier this month said Carr has treated an injury to the right shoulder that might require surgery And impact his availability for the 2025 season. Loomis said that he knew that the status of Carr would be a subject of interest, but that he would not answer questions beyond confirming that the team expected another word on Carr’s injury.
“He has a problem with his shoulder,” said Loomis. “We hope to obtain a certain resolution and clarity on this subject in the near future. And when we will, I will report you. Otherwise, I have nothing more on Derek.”
Loomis refused to answer several questions about Carr, but said that he did not think that “the approach of the project for us is different from that of all years”. Carr’s news intervened after the saints restructured its contract and Loomis said that the restructures can be presented in different forms when asked if a physique was generally carried out as part of this process.
The saints were considered a potential landing point for a quarter before the carr’s shoulder problem launched and they have the ninth overall choice available for use. They did it only once in the history of the franchise – Archie Manning in 1971 – and we will learn Thursday if they take this road a second time.
