The Russian army broadcasts the images of the destroyed equipment of the Ukrainian sabotage group in Belgorod – RT in French

The Russian Ministry of Defense released the images of destroyed military equipment in the Belgorod region. The army had previously announced that it had eliminated the “Ukrainian sabotage and reconnaissance group” which attacked on May 22.

A charred corpse, damaged armored vehicles bearing traces of shells and a burnt-out van with the inscription “For Bakhmout”: the Russian Ministry of Defense unveiled several images after the incursion of a military group from Ukraine on May 22 in the border region of Belgorod.

The Russian army announced that it had eliminated the threat with the help of strikes carried out by the air force and artillery. According to the governor of the Belgorod region Vyacheslav Gladkov, the Ukrainian attack left one dead and a dozen wounded among civilians. Still according to him, during the night of May 23 to 24, a massive drone attack caused no casualties but caused the destruction of vehicles and buildings.

Moscow will respond “extremely firmly” to new armed incursions, Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu has promised.

Since the beginning of the conflict, the border territories with Ukraine in the Belgorod region have been under regular fire from the Ukrainian side. For this reason, the region is classified at the orange level of terrorist risk alert.
