The Russian Defense Ministry said on January 4 that the village of Nadia, located near the border with the Kharkov region, had been taken by units of the Western Troop Group.

The Russian Defense Ministry announced the capture of the village of Nadia, located in the Luhansk People’s Republic (LPR), two kilometers from the border with the Kharkov region.

The ministry said the village was taken by units of the Western troop group.

The Ukrainian forces have notably, according to this daily report from the Russian Ministry of Defense, lost a French Caesar self-propelled gun against the forces of the Center group, as well as an American Paladin self-propelled gun against the troops of the Eastern group.

Several ATACMS missiles shot down

Furthermore, still according to the same source, eight American long-range ATACMS missiles and 72 drones were shot down by Air Defense units.

Nadia is one of the localities whose recapture kyiv had claimed, in the fall of 2022, following a counter-offensive in the Kharkov region.

On December 18, the head of the General Staff of the Russian Armed Forces, Valery Gerasimov, declared during a briefing for foreign military attachés that the Russian military had taken control of more than 190 settlements in 2024. Since then, the Russian army has announced the capture of more than twenty other localities.
