The host of ESPN Pat McAfee Moonlights as WWE artist, so when he has casually mentioned a “commander-in-chief” before Wrestlemania 41 this weekend, many quickly assumed President Donald Trump plans to attend the two-day extravagance in Las Vegas.
“The tribal commander in chief at the Ula Fala in Washington, DC, which is on a private plane, heading here in Las Vegas,” McAfee told his panel on Friday.
Often worn by the WWE Roman Reigns superstar, the “Ula Fala” is a traditional samoan necklace worn to indicate the seniority or the importance of a person. And it turns out that Trump was presented with one in the oval office one day earlier.
McAfee’s cryptic remark was immediately considered a sign that Trump, a Las Vegas hotelier, would be back to Sin City to make his triumphal return to the ring.
“Pat McAfee simply suggested that Donald Trump was heading for Wrestlemania 41,” wrote a user.
Another X account, @lasvegaslocally, echoed the rumor, but there was no confirmation. Dailymail.com’s request for comments from a WWE spokesperson was not immediately answered on Friday evening.

Likewise, the White House gave no indication that Trump has such plans.
He recently received praise from a key figure in WWE in Roman Reigns, a Democrat from Florida.
As Reigns said Vanity Fair: “I support our president. Trump is one of those guys where he has a vast story and a huge experience. He was entertainment. He was in large companies, politics.
“At this point, I have a brilliant future for our country. Positive and competent leadership. So that we are what we are supposed to be – to be a world leader and to carry this respect and do what a global power as we should do.
That said, Anoa’i is not the biggest fan of Trump’s appetite for rivalries and the selection of fights with opponents.
“He needs this opposition to bounce back. He needs this competitive motivation or something, “he said.
“To be honest, the world seems to be more like struggle than any other form of entertainment.”

Vince McMahon shaved by Trump after losing a bet in the billionaire battle
Trump also has a story with WWE. In 2007, he helped shave his head by Vince McMahon in the Battle of billionaires at Wrestlemania 23.
Since his return as president for the second time, Trump has appeared during sporting events a must of his return to power.
He was 314 in Miami last weekend, and participated in an NASCAR event, the fight against NCAA and becoming the first president in office to attend the Super Bowl in February.
But an appearance in Vegas this weekend was not mentioned.
Reigns, meanwhile, will face CM Punk and Seth Rollins in a triple-menace match in Sin City on Saturday.
