King Charles broke his silence on the subject of the security provisions of his youngest son Prince Harry, after the judgment of the United Kingdom Court of Appeal on Friday, and an interview by Harry in which he said he had been the victim of a “establishment of establishment”.
Friday saw the rule of the British court against Harry in a decision which means that he lost his fight to have VIP protection financed by taxpayers after his move abroad (he continues to have tailor-made security agreements for his visits to the United Kingdom), and was struggling with an invoice of the legal costs of the two parties, estimated at 1.5 million pounds sterling (just over $ 2 million).
Harry brought the case against the Home Office of the United Kingdom and the Executive Committee for the Protection of Raches and Public Personalities, known as Ravec (which includes figures from the Royal House which represent the King).
In his judgment, Sir Geoffrey said that Harry’s arguments had “moved” but did not constitute a real legal challenge.
“It was impossible to say that this reasoning was illogical or inappropriate, in fact, it seemed reasonable.”
Shortly after, the BBC published an interview with Harry in which he said: “I do not see people in which I would bring my wife and children to the United Kingdom to this stage.”
And he complained that his father King Charles could have supported him by “leaving the way and letting the experts do their job”.
The sun The newspaper published a declaration by Buckingham Palace, with a spokesman saying: “All these questions have been examined several times and meticulously by the courts, the same conclusion drawn on every occasion.”
Harry also said that he would “love a reconciliation” with the royal family, but King Charles “would not speak to me” and added: “I don’t know how long my father has.” King Charles continues to receive treatment for cancer, following a diagnosis made public in 2024.
