The rods remind Ryan Suzuki from Chicago

Raleigh, NC – Eric Telsky, Director General of the Hurricanes of Carolina Hurricanes of the National Hockey League, announced today that the team recalled the center Ryan Suzuki Chicago Wolves of the American Hockey League (AHL) and assigned defender Riley Stillman to Chicago.

Suzuki, 23, recorded 30 points (6g, 24A) in 38 appearances with the Wolves this season to lead the club in points and assists. He played a career summit of 51 AHL games with Springfield in 2023-24, recording 30 points (14g, 16A). The 6’1 ”striker, 196 pounds, posted 116 points (45g, 71a) in 199 AHL career games with Springfield and Chicago, winning the Calder Cup with the Wolves in 2021-222. Suzuki collected 177 points (57 g, 120A) in 173 career competitions in the Ontario Hockey League (OHL) with Barrie and Saginaw from 2017 to 20 and was appointed to the second team of the Ohl All-Rookie in 2017-2018. The native of London, Ontario, represented Canada during the World Junior Championship IIHF 2021, winning four points (2G, 2A) in seven games and winning a silver medal. Suzuki was selected by Caroline in the first round, 28th in total, of the NHL 2019 draft.

Stillman, 26, who missed the first 14 games of the Hurricanes of the season with an injury to the lower body, made his debut with the club on January 28 against the New York Rangers. He recorded five points (2G, 3A) in 15 appearances with the Wolves. The native of Peterborough, Ontario, spent the 2023-24 season with the Rochester Americans, totaling six points (2G, 4A) and 49 minutes of penalty in 47 games played. 6’2 ”, 207 lbs. Blueliner signed with Carolina as a free agent on July 3. Originally selected by Florida in the fourth round, 114^th Overall, during the NHL 2016 recovery, he recorded 26 points (4G, 22A) in 159 career games in the NHL with Florida, Chicago, Vancouver, Buffalo and Carolina.
