“ The Repearsal ” maintains that the creaky comedy can save lives

The second season of “The Repearsal”, the ambitious exercise of Nathan Fielder in the comic social experimentation, ended on Sunday on HBO. He focused on a subject – Aviation safety – but did it with an amazing range of accessories and waterfalls, including replicas of airport terminals, cloned dogs, a false song competition and huge breastfeeding puppets. James Poniewozik, chief television critic for The Times, and Alissa Wilkinson, a Times film critic, discussed all of the above and more.
