The Boston Red Sox will soon see Liam Hendriks’ beginnings.
Hendriks was reinstated from the injured list on Saturday, with his place on the list opening after the right-handers Hunter Dobbins was optionized in Triple-A Worcester after his superb departure against the White Sox of Chicago.
It was a long road to reach this point for Hendriks.
Boston signed it before the start of last season, although he never appeared in a match following his rehabilitation of Tommy John surgery on August 2, 2023. The Red Sox hoped that he would be ready at the start of the regular season, although this was delayed due to the inflammation of the right elbow.
Hendriks’ beginnings are expected to come against White Sox, his former team.
