The breathtaking trade that sent Luka Doncic to the Los Angeles Lakers and Anthony Davis to the Dallas Mavericks on Saturday evening had rapid and dramatic implications on the sports betting markets.
Before the news of the agreement broke out, the Lakers were +4000 to win the NBA 2025 and +2500 final to win the Western Conference, according to the ESPN BET ratings. Immediately after the news, the Los Angeles ratings shortened at +1,800 to win the NBA title and sat down at +1600 from Sunday morning, the sixth best league rating. The ratings of the title of the Lakers Conference went to +900 before settling at +850.
