The young scooter, the rapper of Atlanta who was signed with Future and Waka Flocka Flame, died at the age of 39 on the same day as his birthday.
Fulton’s County Legalist’s office confirmed the rapper’s death to VarietyDeclaring that it was transported by emergency medical services in Atlanta to Grady Marcus Trauma Center on Friday. Its cause of death is currently undetermined because an autopsy is not over.
Born Kenneth Edward Bailey, Scooter developed a strong presence in Atlanta Rap throughout his career, becoming one of the first artists signed on the Future Freebandz label and later the Squad monopoly in Waka Flocka Flame brick under the records of Gucci Mane. He resulted in a following according to his regular release of Mixtape, publishing records with Gucci Mane and Zaytoven, and obtained his first Billboard Hot 100 appearance with a functionality on future and “jet lag” by Juice WRLD in 2018.
Scooter was born in Walterboro, South Carolina, and moved to the Atlanta Kirkwood community at the age of nine. He decided to pursue a musical career in 2008 after an accusation of drug trafficking, connecting with his friend of childhood friend in several collaborations. Although it is not a Titan graphic, scooter was a coherent presence in Atlanta hip-hop during its commercial boom in the 2010s, appearing on singles of future and young Thug and working with artists like Juicy J, Kodak Black and Rick Ross.
In an interview with Complex in 2013, Scooter developed on his out of Kilter flow, which he described as “Count Music”. “I don’t really care what I say about a rhythm as long as it’s money,” he said. “When you try to think hard and write it, that’s when it will be screwed up.”
Scooter has remained active over the years, publishing his fourteenth project more recently, “Trap’s Last Hope” in March 2024. This album, released independently, presented guests of Future, is Gee and Peewee Longway.
