The “The Crypto Ventures of Karoline Leavitt” T-shirt “The president’s crypto t-shirt” has people who ask a lot of questions already answered by his shirt.
For sure glance Like the cheeky self-dating corruption, Trump’s dinner president plans to have later this month with the best buyers of his “official $ Trump token”. The price of the same jumped 50% when dinner was announced two weeks ago, pumping millions in the president’s portfolios and his associates, who have 80% of the range of the room. But you never know – maybe there is a reasonable explanation?
If there are any, the secretary to the press Karoline Leavitt did not bother to try to mention it during the briefing of the White House yesterday. When I asked her why the president had planned dinner, she only had this to say:
Look, the president is remaining by all the laws on conflicts of interest. The president has been incredibly transparent with his own personal financial obligations over the years. The president is a prosperous businessman and I think that frankly, this is one of the many reasons why people have re -elected him to this office.
I followed, stressing that at least Some entities buy the play in an open attempt to influence the president’s opinions. Alas, Leavitt Stonewalled again: “Listen, I can assure you that the president acts only with the interests of the American public in mind, putting our country first and doing what is best for our country, a complete stop.”
Which, even if it were true, still did not provide any Alternative theory of the reason why the president would take the blow in the first place, beyond the evidence: to withdraw a few easy dollars from the portfolios of his supporters.
For all its detractors, you cannot say that Leavitt is not good in his work. Subtlety is not her strong costume, but subtlety is not the memory: she strikes her marks and gives the president’s rotation with an imperturbable component. However, she cannot run shit in gold, so it was not exactly a shock that she refused to contact the $ Trump dinner on the bottom.
Although I have a press pass of the White House, I rarely assist the Leavitt briefings. They are a jungle, and as a representative of a small point of sale – without mentioning a hostile of Trump – the chances of putting himself in a question are generally quite slim.
This week, however, the White House contacted MeAsking me if I would be interested in attending the briefing in the “New Media” headquarters – part of the double objectives of the administration to open the briefing at less traditional points of sale and to put it to the Associated Press and the White House correspondent Association. I had not applied for a seat, and they didn’t say why they hit me. podcaster Tim Pool, who asked Leavitt to comment on the “non -professional behavior” of the White House Press Corps, to journalists for media startups like Semaor And Notus. And now me, I suppose.
When the sycophants arise, they are closed on abundant on social networks, of course. But it’s not even clear how much Leavitt appreciates them – which is obliged as it does to flatter their insane questions as important and perceptive and What shame the media do not ask enough that. You have the impression that she has fun more with contradictory questions and the opportunity to style on #FakeSews. If yes, hey: they can see me again at any time.
Publisher’s note: Andrew is there in the White House, asking questions, because you helped put it there. Solle enough to think about considering Andrew and I were among the first employees! THANKS.
